The decisions over the next four years will have a big impact on thousands of families in Cedar Rapids. Tonight, one flood-affected voters makes a final pitch for Brian Fagan.

Jon Galvin has been one of the most active people in the city over the last 18 months, and he's noticed someone else is always there pitching in alongside his neighbors.

"Brian was there. He was handling the rakes and the shovels and throwing the dirt. He was getting his hands dirty," Galvin said.

For Galvin, that example goes a long way.

"He was in there with us and fighting for us."

Galvin says that he believes Fagan will continue that fight by moving forward with the neighborhood planning process that has been developed over the past year and a half.

"Brian has been involved. He's been involved with everybody and he knows the system that the city has to go through," Galvin said.

Will that involvement translate to votes tonight? We'll soon find out. But Galvin is optimistic his guy will come out on top.
