Michelle Kehoe broke down crying in court today.
She's on trial for killing her two year old son Seth and trying to kill her then 7 year old son Sean.
CBS 2's Jamie Oberg was at the trial today as several people told the jury her story didn't add up.

Michelle Kehoe had her story straight.
Debra "She said someone tried to kill her kids."
Darrell Simmons, DCI "Man came back and attacked me with knife when she stated, she blacked out again."
This is the hunting knife found by DNR in Hookin' Liner pond. A knife Kehoe initially said was used by an "attacker" on her and her sons.
Scott Kinseth, DNR "That is the knife that I recovered that day."
From the hospital, Michelle Kehoe, who couldn't speak because of the cut to her throat, started writing down the same story to special investigator Chris Callaway. He read their exchange in court.
"What do you remember? A man hid in the back of our van."
What Michelle didn't know was that her son Sean was still alive and told Callaway a completely different story. That she attacked him and his 2 year old brother.
When she found out, DCI say she gave in. Callaway reads back his discussion with Michelle Kehoe.
"She didn't black out, she knows what happened, and that we knew what happened."
"Please kill me or lock me up forever."
"Are you sorry? I want to die, I can't explain this to anyone, just kill me."
"Was it just Sunday a week ago or 2 years? 10 years."
"Did you just want to take the boys with you? I knew they would go to heaven and I would go to hell."
"You wanted them with you? It is unforgiveable? Please just finish it for me."
Hearing and seeing her own words in court, Michelle started to cry.
"I can't ever look at Sean again; I don't know who to explain this to gene or Sean, the disease in my head."
Jamie Oberg CBS 2 News.

Investigators say Kehoe bought the knife in Iowa City, the duct tape two months before the murder, and that she chose to cut Sean first because he was older.
Kehoe's attorneys will try to convince the jury she's insane.Mom Murder Trial: Kehoe Cries in Court

Inmates assaulted officers at prison facility
November 20, 2009 17:36 EST

CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) -- The Iowa Department of Corrections is investigating a pair of assaults on officers at its Oakdale Medical and Classification Center near Coralville.

The department reported Friday that the attacks took place on Nov. 15 and are also being investigated by the Coralville Police Department.

Officials say that in one assault, 22-year-old convicted kidnapper and robber Earl Griffin punched a guard in the shoulder and face, harming the guard's teeth and blacking both of his eyes. The attack occurred shortly after Griffin had received his medication in the facility's pill line.

The department says that a short time later, 18-year-old convicted murderer Damion Seats punched another officer in the face and neck.

Both Griffin and Seats have since been transferred to the Iowa State Penitentiary.
