And investigators think this small town bandit has done it before.
This month alone, he may have hit three other banks in the state.
First in Story County, then Madison, then Greene County.
And now Johnson County, at the First Trust and Savings Bank in Oxford.
Now that this small town bandit may have landed in eastern Iowa, Johnson County investigators want to stop him fast.
"It certainly is a brazen act the way this individual is going about the bank robberies."
"You'd never think that'd happen in a small town like Oxford, but I guess you never know."
Joe Filloon was checking his mail at the post office, when he noticed a strange-looking man walking into the First Trust and Savings Bank.
"Kinda looked kinda funny cuz he was walking really fast."
Investigators say once inside, the man took cash and one of the teller's car keys.
The robber at the three central Iowa banks did the exact same thing.
"And that car come flying outta there, and I watching him go that way," says Filloon.
"He's taking the tellers' car just so hopefully somebody's not getting a description of what he's driving until he gets a little ways out of town," says Greene County Sheriff Tom Heater.
The suspect in the Oxford robbery is described as a white man with a thin build and dark hair.
He's six-foot-two and was wearing a dark sweatshirt, khaki pants, and bandana over his face, along with a bowler-style hat.
The Iowa City CrimeStoppers office is now offering a one-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the capture of the robber.

Inmates assaulted officers at prison facility
November 20, 2009 17:36 EST
CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) -- The Iowa Department of Corrections is investigating a pair of assaults on officers at its Oakdale Medical and Classification Center near Coralville.
The department reported Friday that the attacks took place on Nov. 15 and are also being investigated by the Coralville Police Department.
Officials say that in one assault, 22-year-old convicted kidnapper and robber Earl Griffin punched a guard in the shoulder and face, harming the guard's teeth and blacking both of his eyes. The attack occurred shortly after Griffin had received his medication in the facility's pill line.
The department says that a short time later, 18-year-old convicted murderer Damion Seats punched another officer in the face and neck.
Both Griffin and Seats have since been transferred to the Iowa State Penitentiary.
