We are learning new details on why a chase started on Interstate 380 Wednesday afternoon.
Police tried to pull over a minivan for a broken windshield but the driver kept on driving.
Finally, after a chase, police stop sticks brought the car and the chase to a stop.

18-year-old Jose Victor was the driver of the van.
Police say he didnt have a license or insurance.
26-year-old Gary Corwin was the passenger; police say he had outstanding warrants on drug possession.
Victor is being charged with attempting to allude and speeding.
Corwin is being charged with destroying evidence during the chase.

The chase ended with no injures thanks to stop sticks, a tool police departments all across the country use, but there are some dangers to them.

Stop Sticks are devices that have spikes inside. Once a car drives over the device, spikes go inside the tires, causing the car to slow down and eventually stop.

The sticks are used in every state but there are some dangers to them.
Suspects often swerve on the roads to avoid the spikes and sometimes police cars or even other cars get hit.
