Is A Public Option Health Plan A Good Idea?

88.29% Yes
10.63% No
1.06% Undecided

Comment: This country is getting into a sense of entitlement mentality and the Constitution I studied in school did not guarantee health coverage at all, let alone at the expense of the taxpayers. AND we all know that Congress won't want/or take the same plan they are trying to come up with for us minions. I should not have to pay for someone else's health issues, rent, food, clothing nor should they have to pay for mine. by Marcia

Comment: If there is not a public option, what is the incentive for insurance companies to become more competitive?

Comment: It would lead to government take over of health care by John

Comment: Aren't the VA hospitals a prime example on government ran health care programs? I am a veteran and am not looking forward to having to rely solely on the VA for for care. by Steve

Comment: It is disgraceful that a country that prides itself on being one of the most powerful and successful countries in the world, doesn't make sure all of its population has quality health care. by Luann

Comment: On the news today, they announced federal money for more flood repairs. This time a bridge in Waterloo that John Deere uses. Funny nobody screamed socialism on that one. I will never use that bridge, so why did they use my tax dollars? There sure is some very selective outrage by some of our dittoheads and bought off congress people. Grassly and Ensign sure were smirking on the news tonight when they defeated public option with the help of a few so called blue dogs. They will laugh all the way to the bank while many Iowans will suffer. by James

Comment: The government doesn't do a good job of running anything so why would I want them in control of my health? by Jean

Comment: Our government has created plenty of debt already we don't need any more or more taxes to pay for it. by Luke

Comment: It has not worked anywhere where it has been tried, why do people flock to the US for health reasons, because we have the best heathcare in world, put the government in charge and down the tubes it goes. by kirk

Comment: WE NEED COMPETION by Douglas
