Comment: Any opening that the government
might have to go to a gov run
program would be dangerous. I do
not trust them! Need tort reform
and immigration reform first. by Dennis
Comment: I would rather have a governnent run plan but we have got to have something, something worth a darn, for people with no coverage, and people who can't afford the health insurance from their employer. by Jamie
Comment: My husband & I are self employed, no one pays our insurance. We have to carry a huge deductable to be able to afford the premiums, that the inusrance is worthless unless we have a catistrofic illness or accident. We pay over $500.00 per month for absolutly nothing!! Think how we cold have enjoyed this money instead of paying some fat insurance company. While they are out building billion dollar monuments to themselves, we can't even afford to have prventive checkups. This is not a good system. by Kathy
Comment: only if I could get the same care as all the senators and congress does by Douglas
Comment: If the government can't keep the Post Office out of the RED, how will they be able to manage health care. The Iowa Care, state insurance, treats those people as 2nd class citizens. How would the national governement treat people,,,hurry up and wait 2 years to see a specialist. I had to with IA Care. by Gail
Comment: Prescriptions advertising should be banned. Billions of our insurance premiums end up going to putting these annoying commercials on TV during local news. This is a waste of our money.
People are going to doctors to ask for these prescriptions and the drug companies are getting rich as we are all paying more money. This is contributing to driving up ALL our healthcare costs!!!
Kickbacks to doctors should not be allowed. Prescriptions should be for an as needed basis only. by T
Comment: Even if we manage to insure all American citizens, we will still have an issue with illegal immigrants needing health care [especially in border states]. We need reform health care such that hospitals may turn people away without worrying about a law suit. by dan
Comment: the federal gov has no constitutional
power to be involved in health care(read
enumerated powers act us constitution) by bill
Comment: i would like the same insurance program the senators have,we pay for their program ,the tax payer should have the same. we are all equal in amercia, right???? by roger
Comment: why not "ALL" protest that we get their insurance or they get ours? end of debates and money spending running around the country. by larry
Comment: Health care is not a privilege for the wealthy, or even the middle class, it's a human right. Everyone can get care from an emergency room, so we might as well give everyone a better, more efficient option - a state sponsored health care program. It's the ethical thing to do. by Matt
Comment: Need to lower cost. by Dave
Comment: I think that having a Government sponsored health care plan to force other health care plans to do things they have found fiscally irresponsible for them is worse than what most liberals/democrats say Wal-Mart does to "Mom and Pop" stores in their areas, by being able to offer health care at low cost and for existing conditions that a fiscally responsible company cannot do. Due to the Government not needing to make a profit but expecting healthcare to be expenditure they WILL drive Private healthcare out of Business. The claim that they don't want government takeover of health care is ridiculous. by Mark
