With volunteer work, recovery from the floods would be nearly impossible. But what happens when the work that is done doesn't stand the test of time?
Les Tallman is almost 80-years-old and now his home isn’t much better off than it was before the flood. It looks good at first glance but if you take a closer look you will see that the doors and windows installed poorly. The oven wasn't hooked up properly creating a gas leak and the air vents were cut to the wrong size. Tallman says he's grateful for the help but this help from teenage volunteers may have set him back thousands.
CBS 2 is not giving out the name of the organization that worked on Tallman’s home. Tallman is not faulting the teens. He just wishes they had more supervision as they worked.Faulty Volunteer Work
