Hawkeyes Ranked 4th in BCS

The University of Iowa football team has moved up two notches to an all-time best fourth spot in the latest BCS weekly poll. The Big Ten leading Hawkeyes are 8-0 following an impressive road victory over Michigan State (15-13) last Saturday. Iowa was sixth in the initial BCS ranking of the season last week.

The Hawkeyes were fifth for three straight weeks in the 2002 BCS Poll. That was the high-water mark for Iowa football until the most recent poll was released Sunday night. Iowas rank in the Associated Press (7^th) and the USA Today Coaches Poll (8^th) remains unchanged from last week.
