Johnson Honored, Hawks 11th in BCS
Iowa linebacker Troy Johnson has been named Big Ten co-defensive player of the week for his performance against Minnesota.
Johnson had 11 tackles, he also forced a fumble and recovered the football.
The junior made his first career start replacing the injured Jeremiha Hunter.
The win over the Gophers put Iowa into the 13th spot in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Poll. In the BCS, the Hawkeyes are 11th.
